What Jesus taught about prayer
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. A short word
The Bible’s prayer verses come from every era and every kind of pray-er. Kings and shepherds, prophets and fishermen, apostles and ordinary believers. The common thread is that the Father hears. He is not bargained with or impressed; He is approached as Father by people He loves.
